Director:

Ben Zimmerman (feeding specialist) BS, MS in psychology with emphasis in behavior analysis.

Worked at the Kennedy Krieger Institute (affiliated with Johns Hopkins) in the Feeding Disorders Program. Worked as a feeding therapist in the Inpatient Feeding Disorders Unite, where children and babies between 9 months and 11 years of age were treated for severe food refusal. Also worked in the Outpatient Feeding Disorders Program doing feeding therapy with a variety of cases. This included doing clinic evaluations to determine whether a child was appropriate for the program, as well as determining where they belonged in the feeding program if treatment was advised.

Spent one year consulting out of state, doing feeding therapy (after working at Kennedy Krieger Institute), as well as abroad, before deciding to open the Los Altos Feeding Clinic.

Ben Zimmerman works from a behavioral perspective. Although from experience working in a multidisciplinary team at Kennedy Krieger Institute, Ben has learned that other disciplines must be taken into account when conducting feeding therapy.

Lead Dietitian:

May To, R.D. (Registered Dietitian)

She specializes in pediatric nutrition, enteral feedings, and infant and adolescent feeding / eating during feeding therapy.
